Who We Are
About SLOB Rugby
The Society of Loyola Old Boys is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit managed by fifteen fiduciary board members dedicated to the long-term success of Loyola University Maryland Rugby.
Stewardship & Fiduciary Standards
A fiduciary manages an asset for the benefit of another — it is the legal duty to act solely in a principal's interest and to avoid any conflict of interest. A fiduciary must conduct their duty "at a higher level than that trodden by the crowd" with the "obligation of undivided loyalty."
The Society of Loyola Old Boys consists of fifteen fiduciary board members committed to the long-term stewardship of your donation.
Our Operational Goals
- 1
Manage a volunteer not-for-profit where donors have confidence in long-term stewardship. Keep costs low and leverage technology.
- 2
Attract top-level players with scholarships and reputation.
- 3
Directly contribute to Loyola Rugby through capital improvements (Bleachers) and operational support like Championship Travel.
- 4
Coaching Support is the newest addition to our mission. Coaching costs can be expected to exceed $50K annually.
